Fundraising and fun

If your PTFA is looking for a new and easy way of fundraising at school why not consider selling Snacks to parents? The PTFA will keep up to 33% of the sale price. For example, if Snacks is sold at the RRP of £15, the school will keep £5 per disk. That means for every 20 families who purchase Snacks, the school makes £100.

To create a sense of excitement and a real purpose for learning, why not follow up the sale of Snacks with a French bingo evening? If you offer good prizes, it will be a really popular evening and you will make more money from the sale of bingo cards.

Decide in advance which French words and numbers you want to include on the bingo cards and advertise this. This will motivate children and adults to learn those words together. We suggest the first time you do a French Bingo evening you start with a modest range of words so everyone gets their confidence up. If the evening is popular, you can run it again and extend the range of words and numbers on the cards. We can provide the bingo cards for you for a small charge.

Families who haven't purchased Snacks can still join in as long as you give them a list of the words that will feature during the evening.

Kids love bingo, and they love prizes so they are sure to have fun. Many parents will enjoy having a reason to learn with their children, and will enjoy a cheap but fun night out for the whole family. The PTFA will not only make money but also play an important role in promoting language learning in school.
